A First Look Inside Luxury Residential Tower Central Park House In Vancouver

Set to open in 2025, residential tower Central Park House will transform Burnaby, a part of Metro Vancouver. 

The 41-story building is a collaboration between real estate development firm Bosa Properties and global architecture, design and planning firm Gensler. Focusing on high-design elements, the building is the first of its kind in the area. 

Bosa Properties enlisted Gensler, who is known for their global work on commercial buildings and residential towers, from the United States to Europe to Asia, including Shanghai Tower and Facebook’s headquarters, to name a few. Surprisingly, this is the firm’s first project in Canada, with more to come. The design team was inspired by their iconic Shanghai Tower, a commercial building, and wanted to translate those design aspects into Central Park House. Far from simply a residential building, Central Park House is the best in vertical living and offers everything one could need under one roof.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Bosa on this unique project and working in the city for the first time,” says David Epstein, principal and design director of Gensler. “We found their commitment to build better in the Vancouver area both impressive and refreshing, and we were attracted to the city’s top ranking in terms of livability, one that is a model for high-rise living both in density and construction techniques.”

The building will have 355 residences, including 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom homes ranging from 435 to 2,270 square feet, as well as six townhomes. Prices start at $450,000 and go up to $1.456 million. Each residence will have state-of-the-art appliances and furnishings, a range of custom design elements and lavish bath amenities. Floor-to-ceiling windows in each space offer unparalleled views of Central Park and Burnaby. There are also sustainable air ventilators for constant fresh air. The design is sleek and modern, with a color palette of light tones, neutral woods and glass. 

There are 15,000 square feet of shared building amenities both inside and out, called the Horizon Pavilion. Amenities include a heated lap pool and Jacuzzi surrounded by triple-height windows; men’s and women’s sauna and steam rooms; wellness room for yoga, meditation and barre ballet; a club room with pool table and terrace; catering kitchen for entertaining; 2,000-square-foot fitness center; co-working space with individual office spaces and a boardroom; and an outdoor dog run. Horizon Pavilion is designed to be a gathering community space for residents to enjoy. It’s one of the most defining design features of the building, set near the middle of the tower. There’s also a concierge and secure parking.

Building quality was important for both Bosa Properties and Gensler, who hope that Central Park House homes will be passed to future generations.

“Our collaboration with Gensler will help us build some of the finest quality homes in our company’s history at Central Park House,” says Colin Bosa, CEO of Bosa Properties. “Gensler was willing to push boundaries and create a timeless piece of architecture that will have lasting impact on Metro Vancouver and its residents. We’re more than pleased with the initial demand since our launch last month. I’m personally looking forward to seeing these homes delivered to families, and watching them pass down to future generations. They really are legacy pieces.”

Central Park House is located on a quiet, tree-lined street in Burnaby and is nearby fantastic restaurants and shopping. Sales officially launched at the end of March 2021.
