CANDIDATES’ VIRTUAL TOWN HALLS
Central Virginia Democrats will present a series of virtual town halls to introduce candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general in advance of the June 8 Democratic primary. Each will be held virtually beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, will feature candidates for governor, including: Lee Carter, Justin Fairfax, Jennifer Carrol Foy, Terry McAuliffe and Jennifer McClellan. Wednesday, April 14, will feature candidates for lieutenant governor, including: Hala Ayala, Paul Goldman, Elizabeth Guzman, Mark Levine, Andria McClellan, Sean Perryman, Sam Rasoul and Xavier Warren. Wednesday, April 21, will feature candidates for attorney general, including: Mark Herring and Jerrauld Jones. Amy Laufer will serve as moderator for each of the sessions. 4CP: “THE LARAMIE PROJECT”
Four County Players present “The Laramie Project” live on Zoom April 7 to 11. The production tells the story of the kidnapping, beating and death of Matthew Shepard, a gay student at the University of Wyoming. Four County Players presents live Zoom performances April 7 to 10 at 8 p.m. and a special 2 p.m. Sunday, April 11 show that features a talk with cast and crew following the performance. Because of the graphic nature of the story, parental discretion is advised. The suggested ticket price is $20, but Four County Players offers a “pay-what-you-will” option, suggesting a $5 minimum.
