New SVAutobiography Ultimate Is The Most Luxurious Range Rover Yet

Land Rover has announced a new top tier to its Range Rover lineup, called the SVAutobiography Ultimate edition.

Coming from the company’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, the Ultimate features unique Orchard Green paintwork with Narvik Black contrast roof and contemporary copper detailing. Inside, the focus is on rear-seat luxury, with first class airline-style seating that is heated, cooled, and has a hot stone massage function.

Rear leg room for the extended-wheelbase Ultimate edition is a healthy 1.2 meters, with the seats featuring calf and footrests. Between the semi-aniline ‘Executive Class Comfort-Plus’ seats is a full-length center console with integrated Zenith timepiece, refrigerated compartment and deployable tables.

Beyond the bespoke paintwork, exterior detailing unique to the Ultimate edition includes gloss black knurled infil and copper-edged metal Range Rover badging on the hood and tailgate, plus a copper-plated and black enamel SV roundel on the B-pillar between the front and rear doors, SV roundels embroidered into the four headrests, and illuminated Ultimate edition treadplates.

Land Rover recommends buyers of the Ultimate edition specify Vintage Tan leather interior trim with copper weave carbon fiber detailing. Another option is leather upholstery from Italian artisans from century-old furniture maker Poltrona Frau.

Powertrain options include JLR’s 565PS supercharged V8 petrol engine, and the P400e plug-in hybrid which is capable of up to 25 miles of electric-only range.

If you prefer sitting behind the wheel instead of lounging in the back, Land Rover has the equally new SVAutobiography Dynamic, which is a regular-wheelbase Range Rover with a Supercharged V8, plus recalibrated suspension geometry and steering to provide a more agile drive. Ride height for this model is also reduced by 8mm to deliver what Land Rover describes as more engaging on-road driving dynamics and a more purposeful stance.

The Dynamic is also treated to forged 22-inch alloy wheels with a five split-spoke design finished in gloss dark gray with contrast diamond turned finish, as well as side vents, hood finisher, grille and front bumper accents all in Graphite Atlas. Inside, SVO has added a knurled finish to the rotary gear shifter, starter button and pedals, plus anodized red paddle shifters.

UK prices for the SVAutobiography Ultimate edition with the supercharged V8 start at £183,706, while the SVAutobiography Dynamic is priced from £147,441.
