Pen Bay Pilot advances behavioral health training program – UMaine News

The Penobscot Bay Pilot shared a College of Maine information launch about researchers’ efforts to create a brand new coaching program for future behavioral well being employees. The Rural Built-in Behavioral Well being in Major Care (RIBHPC) coaching program seeks to deal with the scarcity of employees in psychological well being, habit remedy, social work and different behavioral well being fields in rural Maine. Researchers Sandra Butler, director of the College of Social Work, and Emily Haigh, director of medical coaching for the medical psychology doctoral program at UMaine, earned a four-year, $1.48 million grant from the federal Well being Sources and Providers Administration to implement this system.
