A person fell through the ice in Wareham Sunday afternoon and dive teams are now involved in a recovery operation, according to the Wareham Fire Department.Crews first responded to the scene near 786 County Road around 4:30 p.m. following reports that someone went through the ice and into the water, described by the fire department as a pond used to flood cranberry bogs. The murkiness of the water, as well as the amount of ice, made the search for difficult, according to the fire department. The victim’s family has been notified.
